Overview
The website of an authorised Asian Paints dealer in Kotul, Maharashtra. Customers in and around Kotul can see what the shop sells and in which sizes, work out how much paint they need, and ask for today's rates on WhatsApp without visiting first.
The owner keeps products, sizes, stock, offers and photos up to date himself, from his phone.
The problem
Customers had to visit or call the shop to find out what it stocked and in which sizes. Rates change often, so the shop wanted to show its full range without publishing prices, and the owner needed to keep everything current on his own, from his phone.
The solution
A catalogue of the shop's full range in 10 categories, with search, sizes and stock on every product, and a "Get Latest Price" WhatsApp button in place of prices. Customers can build a quotation list and send it to the shop, or use the paint calculator to work out litres and pack sizes.
A password-protected owner panel covers products and photos, stock, categories, dated offers, the gallery and an inbox for every enquiry and quotation.
Key features
- The shop's full range in 10 categories, browsable by category and type, with search
- Product pages with sizes, stock status and one-tap WhatsApp or call
- A quotation list that can be printed or sent to the shop on WhatsApp
- A paint calculator for litres and pack sizes from room size, doors, windows and coats
- Enquiries that reach the shop on WhatsApp and are saved for the owner
- Dated offers that appear and disappear on their own
- Marathi and English content, with light, dark and system themes
- An owner panel to manage products, photos, stock, categories and enquiries from a phone
- A nightly backup, with a copy saved to the shop's Google Drive
Technical decisions
The site shows no prices on purpose: rates change often, so every product leads to WhatsApp or a call for today's rate.
It is built with Next.js and runs on Cloudflare Workers, with the catalogue in Neon PostgreSQL through Drizzle ORM. The layout is phone-first, with a bottom navigation bar, because most customers browse on their phones.
